Can I walk-in for an appointment?
Please schedule your appointment by phone or email ahead of time. There will be no walk-in appointments.
Do you take insurance and how to I pay?
My practice is a private pay practice.
As a Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie (Non-Medical Practitioner for Psychotherapy), I do not bill directly through public health insurance (Gesetzliche Krankenkassen). This means that sessions are paid for privately by clients.
However, some private health insurance plans or supplementary insurance (Zusatzversicherungen) may cover part or all of the costs. If you’re unsure, I recommend checking directly with your insurance provider to see whether reimbursement is possible.
Regardless of coverage, payment is made directly to me before each session.
If you have any questions about this, I’m happy to clarify further during our initial consultation.
What is your cancellation Policy
Please note that appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled session cost.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, kindly inform me as early as possible. I will do my best to arrange a replacement appointment promptly.
What is the primary focus of Humanistic Therapy
The focus isn’t on fixing you—because you’re not broken. It’s about self-growth, personal meaning, and seeing yourself as a whole, capable person—not just a list of problems to solve!
What is the difference between Psychotherapy, Counselling and Coaching?
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a regulated health service focused on treating mental health disorders as defined by diagnostic systems like the ICD-10/11 or DSM-V. This includes conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological diagnoses.
As a Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie, I am licensed to offer psychotherapy in accordance with German law.
Psychotherapy helps clients explore the root causes of emotional suffering and develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. It often involves working through past experiences that may be affecting present life and well-being.
Counselling
Counselling, on the other hand, is intended for non-clinical concerns that are not classified as mental health disorders. This might include support with life transitions, relationship difficulties, stress at work, decision-making, or personal growth.
While counselling is not designed to treat mental illness, it can still be deeply beneficial, offering a safe and supportive space to gain clarity and build resilience.
Coaching
Coaching is future-focused and goal-oriented. It helps you identify where you want to go in life, career, or personal development, and supports you in getting there. Coaching doesn’t usually address mental health issues, but instead focuses on motivation, strategy, and accountability.
Whether you’re dealing with a diagnosed mental health condition or simply going through a difficult time, I offer a supportive and confidential environment tailored to your needs. If you’re unsure which approach fits your situation, I’m happy to guide you during an initial consultation.

Do you work with children and adolescents?
At this time, I do not offer therapy for children under the age of 16.
In Germany, it is recommended to have specialized training and qualifications for children and adolescents that are specifically tailored to the developmental, emotional, and psychological needs of younger clients. This ensures that they receive the most effective and age-appropriate support.
My practice is focused on individuals aged 16 and older, so I can offer the highest quality of care within my scope of training and experience. I believe every client—regardless of age—deserves support that is both compassionate and professionally sound.
How long will it take to see imporovments?
One of the most common questions people ask is, “How long will it take until I feel better?”
The honest answer is: it depends.
The length of therapy varies from person to person, because healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. Some of the factors that influence the pace of therapy include:
- The nature and severity of the issue
- How long the problem has been present
- Your goals for therapy
- How often we meet
- Your support system and daily environment
- Your readiness and ability to engage in the process
Some people experience meaningful shifts within a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term support to explore deeper patterns and make lasting changes.
Meaningful change doesn’t happen overnight. It unfolds over time, with care, consistency, and patience. We’ll go at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable for you.
